Description:
This is an antique pre-1895 Colt 1877 Lightning .38 center fire revolver. In good solid condition. Has four distinctive clicks when cocked. Indexes and locks up well in both double and single action. Has spots of discoloration and plating loss but could be cleaned up. Has a good deal of original fire bluing on both the hammer and the trigger, which suggests limited usage. Has the 'COLT D.A. .38' cartouche clearly showing on left side. All lettering for barrel address is clear. Has excellent condition grips. Short 3 1/2" Sheriff type barrel. Bore is quite shootable. Chambered for black powder .38 Colt and .38 Short Colt.Gun looks good over all. Sold as collector item only. Have competent gunsmith inspect before any use.
