FNs 509 pistol is built on the proven architecture of the FNS Compact. It features a cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel with a recessed target crown and polished chamber and feed ramp. The slide has front and rear cocking serrations and easily-racked combat-style sights. The polymer frame has an enhanced grip texture for faster follow-up shots in all conditions a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail and interchangeable backstraps. This striker-fired double action pistol has an external extractor loaded chamber indicator and no manual safety. It is equipped with a fully ambidextrous slide stop lever and magazine release. Part of the FDE BLK Series this FN 509 has a matte black slide with an FDE polymer gripframe and two FDE interchangeable backstraps. This LE configuration has fixed 3-dot night sights. This model has a 171 capacity includes three magazines and an FN logo soft pistol case.
