Description:
Serial #K224867, .38 Special, 4 inch pinned round serrated ribbed barrel with an excellent bright bore. This is the K-38 Combat Masterpiece revolver (Pre-Model 15) manufactured by Smith & Wesson in 1954 featuring a .500" target hammer and 1/8" Baughman Quick Draw on plain ramp front sight with click-adjustable micrometer rear sight. In excellent condition the barrel, frame and cylinder retain about 85-90% of the original blue finish with wear and finish loss at the muzzle and on the cylinder with a light drag line and scattered freckling. The serrated trigger and hammer show muted case-hardened colors. The diamond around screw escutcheon checkered walnut S&W monogram grips rate excellent. Mechanically the revolver functions properly with tight lock up and a very smooth double action trigger pull. A very well built 1950's Smith revolver that would be a pleasure to shoot. FFL or C&R
