Description:
This is a full "Soft Pack" with 42 original rounds of .56-50 Spencer (Model 1865, .50 Caliber) ammunition manufactured by Joseph Goldmark of New York. The cartridges will have the "JG" headstamp and are packaged as six rows of seven cartridges. These are Civil War era cartridges, likely just post war manufacture with the company in production from 1864-66. The sealed package has a very nice yellow label with call out for the Spencer Carbine. The paper wrapped cartridge packet is solid with some shell protrusions and minor age soiling. A rare item for the cartridge collector or to pair with your Spencer Carbine.
