For your consideration, the Colt SP1 semi-automatic rifle chambered in .223 Remington. The SP1 is the genesis of what we know today as the modern AR-15 sporting rifle. The SP1 was the first commercially available AR-15 in the U.S., being released in 1964. Looking similar to the M16 used by the military at the time.
