However, the P365 SAS took this concept to a new extreme. The SIG Sauer P365 SAS was officially announced in October 2019. Flush-Mounted Sights: The most distinctive feature of the SAS is the lack of traditional front and rear sights. Instead, it uses a unique, flush-mounted FT Bullseye fiber-tritium night sight. This sight is embedded into the slide, creating a completely smooth top surface. This design was intended to allow for a faster, snag-free draw from concealment, although it was a significant departure from standard iron sights and required a different sighting technique.
