The tradition continues even today with a wide variety of rimfire rifles in .17 and .22 calibers and in all shapes and sizes. The Savage Rascal series is their lineup of junior-sized single-shot rifles, perfect for introducing young outdoor enthusiasts to shooting sports. With a simple two-position safety, light weight and compact stock, and single-shot design, the Rascal is ideal for teaching the basics of firearm safety and fundamentals of marksmanship. The Rascal Target is built to mimic the appearance and feel of larger-frame precision rifles, with its thicker wood stock, vertical pistol grip, oversized bolt handle, and heavier target-profile threaded barrel. The 16" barrel is also threaded to accept muzzle devices and suppressors—another great way to make the shooting experience even more enjoyable to young ears. The rifle does not feature traditional open iron sights, but is equipped with a picatinny rail to attach the optic of your choice. Furthermore, the rifle features Savage's signature Accutrigger—a user-tunable adjustable trigger that has been the favorite of many over the decades. This rifle is in excellent condition and appears to have hardly been used. The black splatter-finished stock has no visible damage or defects and the barrel is in perfect condition.
