Description:
A popular choice for many shopping for a concealed carry piece, the Springfield Armory XD series is an affordable pistol chambered in a few different calibers to meet anyone's fancy. With options in 9mm Luger, 40 Smith & Wesson, .45 Auto, and 10mm Auto, the XD range of handguns can offer a considerable amount of firepower in various size frames as well—subcompact, compact, full-size, and large competition/hunting pistols mean there is a Springfield XD for every occasion. This pistol for sale is a subcompact pistol chambered in .40 S&W. The smallest form factor of the series, the gun has a short 3" barrel that is comfortable to wear inside the waistband or hidden inside a bag. Included with the pistol is one 10-round magazine with an added Pearch Grip magazine extension. The pistol wears a standard set of fixed metal iron sights with three white dots to align with your target. The Springfield Armory XD series features multiple safety mechanisms to allow users to know the status and condition of their firearm through multiple ways. As far as safeties included, the pistol has a grip safety on the rear of the grip which otherwise locks the slide from moving without being depressed and deactivates the trigger. The trigger also has a blade-style safety insert which must be pulled in conjunction with the rest of the trigger shoe to fire. The top of the slide has a loaded chamber indicator included as part of the external extractor, showing when the chamber has a cartridge loaded. Finally, the rear of the slide has a pin that extrudes when the striker/firing pin is cocked back and ready to fire. This Springfield Armory XD Subcompact is in well-used condition but operates smoothly and has no mechanical flaws. The barrel and internals are in good condition, but the grip does have some scrapes visible on the front strap. This pistol includes an original outside-the-waistband holster which would have been included with the gun when new. There is no box or case sold with this handgun. .40 S&W
