This Caesar Guerini Magnus Light Field 12 gauge, produced in 2016, is an elegant and exceptionally light over/under designed for serious upland hunting. Chambered for 3" shells, it wears 28" solid-rib barrels and comes with four Maxischoke tubes and choke key. The sideplated boxlock action is fitted with a single trigger (with adjustable pull weight), auto safety, bushed firing pins, and timed ejectors. Weighing just 6 lbs 3.4 oz, it measures 1.5" drop at comb, 2.25" drop at heel, and 14.875" length of pull to a grooved walnut buttplate. Sighting is via a vent-matted rib with silver front bead.
The coin-finished sideplated action is fully engraved by Bottega C. Giovanelli, with the signature located beside the trigger guard. The left plate shows two woodcock in a wooded scene, the right plate depicts two pheasants over an open field, and the underside features “Magnus Light” framed by fine scroll and floral motifs. The engraving flows over the remainder of the action in elegant scrollwork. Finish on the action is 99% intact, while the blued steel barrels retain about 96% of their original blue, showing only small, scattered areas of light finish loss.
Stocked in deluxe walnut with bold, scalloping grain, the gun features a round-knob pistol grip, schnabel forend, and sharp checkering throughout. Both stock and forend show only faint handling marks typical of careful field use.
Mechanically excellent, with clear bores, a crisp trigger, smooth operation, and strong, in-time ejectors, this Magnus Light Field comes in its original Caesar Guerini case with paperwork. It is an ideal upland bird gun—lightweight, beautifully balanced, and fully capable of handling any game bird thanks to its 3" chambers.
