Antique Civil War COLT Model 1860 .44 Army Revolver (4 Screw) in very fine condition overall, the pistol showing typical wartime wear and use. The revolver is matching except for the barrel wedge. The weapon functions, cocks and locks, but the trigger drops the hammer very quickly, so there is internal wear.
From Springfield Research Records this pistol falls within the known serial number range for Colt 1860 revolvers issued to the 1st New Jersey Volunteer Cavalry.
