Description:
24 inch octagon barrel. Original No. 21 sporting front and No. 22 sporting rear sights. Full length 13 shot tube magazine. Take down frame/receiver. Plain walnut forearm with matching straight grip buttstock finished off with a crescent rifle buttplate. Condition rates about excellent overall having mostly clean smooth metal surfaces with the barrel, magazine tube and forehand cap showing about 95% original blued finish. Bore is near excellent, bright and shiny with strong rifling showing a very faint ring near the muzzle. The takedown joint is tight, the action is crisp and tight with the receiver showing about 70% original thinning blued finish starting to turn brown with a few scattered light freckles. The hammer and lever show a good deal of original case colored finish. The stocks are solid and full fitting showing little wear with only light handling marks. Nice all original gun manufactured in 1911.
