This revolver is in good condition. There is some pitting in the nickel finish, but it is slight. The grips are in very good condition. The cylinder spins freely, which might be normal for this model. The timing seems to be correct when rotating by cocking the hammer.
The Iver Johnson .32 top-break revolver is characterized by its top-break design, where a lever releases the barrel for easy loading and unloading. It was available with either a shrouded hammer (Safety Automatic models) or an exposed hammer (other models). Key safety features included a transfer bar safety, which prevents the firing pin from striking the primer unless the trigger is fully depressed, and a trigger dingus safety on some models.
