Antique Winchester Model 1886 Lever Action Rifle in .45-70
This Winchester 1886 rifle receiver was manufactured in 1896 so it is categorized as an Antique. It has a modern 26" octagonal Winchester barrel, Marble Sheard blade front sight, empty rear sight dovetail, and Redfield receiver peep sight.
Condition:
This rifle has been professionally restored and is in very fine condition and looks great. The stocks have been refinished as well and have a few handling marks and some light spotting in some places but are in fine condition. The action cycles rounds well with strong ejection and is mechanically excellent condition. With a new barrel, the bore is bright with strong rifling. This rifle is very nice looking and was completely restored professionally. The wood to metal fit is fine and the screw heads are in nice shape. As a restored rifle it is a shooter grade gun. But the Redfield Peep sight and the blade front sight make an excellent sight combo especially for older eyes. This rifle, in versatile 45-70, is set up to be a shooter ready to be put back to work. Being an Antique this rifle can be shipped directly to the buyer.
