Description:
Serial #1274, .22 LR, 6 ½ inch barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is the Colt Automatic pistol (Pre-Woodsman model) manufactured in 1916 which was the second year of production marked "COLT AUTOMATIC / CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" on the slide. In high, excellent condition the barrel and frame retain about 85-90% of the original blue finish with thinning on the barrel and the high edges with scattered mild use marks and light surface scratches. The original checkered walnut grips rate about excellent with some flattening of the points. It comes with one original two-tone factory magazine marked "CAL 22 / COLT". Mechanically it functions properly. An excellent, very early Pre-Woodsman. FFL or C&R
