1800s ENGLISH Folding Trigger Sidearm
Here we present an antique British Superposed Swivel Barrel Pistol made circa the mid-1800s in England. This would have been a small but mighty companion walking around night or day. It is concealable but not too small. It features two shots instead of one—this accomplished with two barrels on a swivel, so that one could fire one bore and then turn to the other. The barrels turn off and on for tool-less loading and a better gas seal. The trigger folds up into the frame for less snagging of clothing, and drops down ready for action when the hammer is cocked. The gun is modestly hand-engraved for aesthetic appeal.
The overall condition is good. Patina throughout. The action is strong. The bores are patinated and smooth. The grip shows use and remains solid. Birmingham proofs!
