Beautiful, seemingly unissued, Chilean Model 1895 military rifle, made by Loewe in Berlin, with dramatic Chilean crest on the receiver and all matching to include cleaning rod. Wonderful rifle that would be difficult to improve upon.

Description:

Standard configuration Mauser Chileno Model 1895 bolt action rifle made by Loewe in Berlin, with Mauser action and chambered in 8mm Mauser. Drift adjustable inverted V front sight and ladder style rear sight graded 5-20. Large Chilean crest on the chamber. The left side is marked with the full SN followed by the manufacturer address. Full SN repeated on the bolt handle, trigger guard, and cleaning rod with the last two numbers repeated on the floorplate, bolt head, and safety selector. Multiple matching inspection marks on the rust blued and fired blued surfaces in addition to the matching stock. Smooth rust blued blued buttplate.

Condition:

Excellent, basically unissued, with a few superficial handling/rack marks on the wood and sharp edge wear on either side of the trigger guard. Similar considerations apply to the fired blued parts. Many of the in-the-white parts still with packing grease in recessed areas. Mirror bore, still with some packing grease. Correct manual mechanics. A classic South American contract rifle, all original, in impeccable condition!
