IWI Carmel – 5.56 NATO – 16" Barrel – WITH Trijicon MRO – Folding Stock – Very Nice!
The IWI Carmel rifles are a really solid platform and come with a lot of features not typically seen in standard AR rifles. The one that we have here on consignment is in Near Mint condition AND comes with a Trijicon MRO already mounted on the rifle. Wearing serial number CH004221, this one can be picked up and taken to the range right after you get it. It’s literally ready to go!
The Carmel has ambidextrous controls (including the safety and magazine release), an adjustable gas block that helps when running a suppressor, free-floating barrel, M-LOK handguard and a standard AR-type of magazine. The folding stock is adjustable for length of pull and also has an adjustable cheek riser. The charging handle is both reversible and non-reciprocating. Muzzle threading is a standard 1/2x28, making it easy to add a suppressor. That’s a lot of high-end features without getting to a high-end price point.
The optic that comes with the rifle is a Trijicon MRO. The exterior is in great shape and the dot is clear and sharp. Adjustments work as they should. Trijicon makes a great dot but, as you probably know, they are pricey. Buying this dot and mount separately would have you in at least the mid-$500 or $600 range. Having a dot of this quality already on the rifle is a great bonus feature!
The owner of this rifle says that he’s put about 100 rounds through it. We think that the rifle is in Excellent – Near Mint condition. The only flaw that we see is a small ding on the right side of the handguard, just below the picatinny rail. We’ve included a separate photo of that small area. There is a similar very small spot of finish loss on the bottom edge of the handguard just below the muzzle.
This is a very gently used rifle with great features and a great optic. At this price, we think that it’s one heck of a bargain!
