Description:
The Stoeger M2000 shotgun is an inertia-operated semi-automatic shotgun chambered in 12 gauge and built in Turkey by Stoeger, a subsidiary company of the famed Benelli Corporation. The Model 2000 has been discontinued for over ten years now, but has had a reputation as a great entry-level semi-auto option with similar features as higher-priced premium brands. The shotgun's inertia blowback design allows it to more reliably cycle shells of varying power loads, as it relies purely on the shell's own energy to cycle the action—provided the shooter has a strong shouldering of the gun. This is contrary to a gas-operated gun, which may require tuning of the action, depending on the load being used. Inertia shotguns are also typically much lighter in weight, with the M2000 Turkey weighing in right at seven pounds, unloaded. The M2000 Turkey features a shortened 24" barrel that is threaded to accept Benelli/Beretta Mobil choke tubes and includes a modified choke tube already installed in the barrel and additional skeet, full, and improved cylinder choke tubes. The barrel is topped with a vented checkered rib with green fiber optic front sight and a grooved receiver top. The shotgun is dressed in black synthetic furniture with checkering on the grip and forend and a vented rubber buttpad. Added to the shotgun is a Taran Tactical Innovations oversized bolt release for faster rechambering of the gun from an empty chamber condition. This Stoeger M2000 is good condition. The barrel is in great shape, with little barrel wear and no rust or pitting. The shotgun externally has some light wear from handling and usage and finish wear on the forend's collar. But, there is no significant damage to the gun at all and operates flawlessly. This shotgun does not include a box or case, but does include additional choke tubes, warranty/registration card, and user manual. 12 Gauge
