Winchester Model 64 rifle, a continuation of the famed and classic Model 1894, with 24" round barrel, factory 2/3 magazine, plain walnut stocks, plain pistol grip, blued finish, solid frame, plain blued trigger, open sights (ramp missing hood), shotgun butt with steel widow's peak butt plate, receiver factory drilled and tapped for peep sight, serial number 1876301, made in 1952.
CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube retain 90% bright original blue with some scratching loss on top of barrel and small spot of pitting loss on bottom of mag tube. Receiver retains 75% bright original blue with the loss due to carry wear. Original front and rear open sights are intact. Action is smooth and strong with a properly working half cock safety. Stocks show some light nicks and scratches but no splits or cracks and have an extra layer of linseed oil or other varnish added for protection (not sanded, still tight and proud). Outstanding bore, a 9.75 of 10. A desirable Pre-64 Winchester that's in superb condition and grades NRA Fine!
