Description:
***** SUMMER SPECIAL - FREE SHIPPING WITH BUYNOW!! *****

Marlin Model 92 rifle with 24" octagon barrel, full magazine that holds 25 short or 20 long or 18 long rifle cartridges, plain walnut stocks, blued and case hardened finish, take down frame, plain trigger, open sights, shotgun butt with hard rubber butt plate, receiver factory drilled and tapped for several styles of receiver and tang peep sights, serial number A4244, made in 1907 during the transition period from the 1892 to 92 designation.

CONDITION: Outer magazine tube retains 98% original blue. Receiver retains 85% on the left side, 50% on the right side and lower tang, upper tang worn to gray due to carry wear. Barrel retains 70% fine aged blue/plum. Lever case colors are a smoky silver. Original front and rear open sights are intact; noted the Rocky Mountain style front sight was used as standard only from 1907 to 1915.  Action is smooth and strong with a properly working half cock safety. Stocks show some light nicks and scratches with an area of light scuffing on the upper left of the butt stock and some finish loss; a few tiny specks of white paint exist that should come off with careful cleaning. Hard rubber butt plate is complete with no chips or cracks. Very good bore, a 7.5 of 10. Take down is tight with no wobble. Mag tube release functions properly with strong tension to the loading tube. Hard to find a .22 caliber rifle this old in this nice condition as most were used hard and not well taken care of; grades NRA Excellent!

TERMS: No international sales and no sales to Alaska or Hawaii. Must ship to FFL or C&R licensee. Note New York State buyers must have the item shipped to a Class 1 FFL holder only, no C&R. Payment by bank check, USPS money orders, personal check, or GunTab. 3-day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping. Firearm has not been tested for feed or function so please have a competent gunsmith check it over if you intend to shoot it. Ships by FedEx Ground with tracking.
