Marlin Model 1895S rifle with 22" JM-marked round barrel, factory 2/3 magazine, plain walnut stocks with white line spacers and plastic grip cap, blued finish, solid frame, plain blued trigger, open sights (ramp retains original hood), shotgun butt with Marlin logo rubber butt plate, receiver factory drilled and tapped for several styles of receiver and tang peep sights as well as scope mount, factory sling swivel studs installed in the butt stock and fore end cap, trademark Bullseye in the butt stock, serial number 19068655, made in 1981 (first year of the blued trigger, first year of the barrel warning on the right side, and last year of the half cock safety).
CONDITION: All blued surfaces retain 97% bright original blue with some very light surface spotting on the lever and receiver. Original front and rear open sights are intact. Action is smooth and strong with a properly working half cock safety. Stocks show some light nicks and scratches specks of white paint existing that should come off with careful cleaning. Rubber butt plate is complete with no chips or cracks. Outstanding bore, a 9.75 of 10. Hammer retains original spur in case you decide to put a scope on it; a hard-hitting big game thumper that's in superb condition and grades NRA Fine!
