Marlin Model 444S rifle with 22" JM-marked round barrel, factory 2/3 magazine, plain walnut stocks with white line spacers and plastic grip cap, blued finish, solid frame, plain gold trigger, open sights, shotgun butt with Marlin logo rubber butt plate, receiver factory drilled and tapped for several styles of receiver and tang peep sights as well as scope mount, factory sling swivel studs installed in the butt stock and fore end cap, trademark Bullseye in the butt stock, serial number 23023172, made in 1977.
CONDITION: All blued surfaces retain 98% bright original blue. Original front sight and hood are intact. Rear sight removed to allow for scope. Action is smooth and strong with a properly working half cock safety. Stocks show some light nicks and scratches. Rubber butt plate is mostly complete with slight wear and loss at toe. Outstanding bore, a 9.75 of 10. Hammer retains original spur and receiver is topped with a beautiful Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 duplex reticle scope (clear optics and no broken reticles); a hard-hitting big game thumper that's in superb condition and grades NRA Fine as a highly collectible piece!
