Description:
Winchester Model 70 Pre-64, classic .220 Swift caliber in Excellent Condition, Made in 1949. Nice example of the "Riflesman's Rifle" in the high velocity cartridge of the day .220 Swift. Well renowned for it's flat shooting high velocity and impact, the .220 Swift was the fastest cartridge when introduced in 1935 for the Model 54 and later model 70 Winchester rifle. This particular Model 70 was made in 1949 and retains a high level of finish, excellent bore and light handling marks on the wood, butt plate is discolored from standing in a damp spot at one time. Apologize for the light reflection on some of the pictues. Classic light caliber Winchester from the early post war period, when Model 70's represented the best American gunmakers had to offer. Don't miss this chance to purchase one of the less common Pre 64 Model 70 Calibers. Asking price is $1,895 plus shipping and insurance. CC welcome with +3.5% bank fee. Obtained recently from an estate. Questions please let me know. C&R OK!
