Fall Special Browning Safari Grade .308 Rifled Barrel with Sako Z69 Action
Offered here for sale and just acquired is fine sporting opportunity for gunsmith or dealer to recreate a Fine Safari Grade sporting rifle. This rifle was built on a Sako medium action, produced in 1969. “Made in Finland” “Made in Finland” often appears on Browning rifles that utilized Sako-made actions, especially for short or medium calibers (.308 falls into this bracket).
Sako supplied actions for Browning High Power rifles from the mid?1950s into the late 1960s and beyond. These rifles were assembled both in Finland and Belgium, and the “Made in Finland” mark points to assembly or significant component production occurring in Finland.
This rifle’s characteristics:
- Safari Grade characteristics: high-polish blue finish, set?up for scope—common traits of Browning Safari-grade rifles.
- Sako medium action + “Made in Finland” = consistent with factory spec for Sako-built Browning High Powers of that era.
