"SN: 148943. Bolt-action rimfire training rifle made by Mossberg for the United States War Dept., c. 1944. 26"" barrel chambered for .22LR. Great condition overall with two small chips in the pistol grip and some handling marks in the receiver and fore-end, plus a scratch on the right side of the barrel. Bore is excellent. Front sight cover is missing, as is typical for this model. Mid-production example with blued receiver and barrel, S-100 type rear sight and parkerized sling swivels and magazine plate.
