This Featherweight variant, introduced in the 1950s, was built for hunters seeking the performance of the Model 70 in a lighter, more field-friendly package. This particular Model 70 Featherweight was manufactured in 1961, during the highly sought-after pre-’64 production era. These rifles featured the renowned controlled round feed system and solid machined steel construction that made the early Model 70s so desirable. Rifle Condition and Features Barrel: 22" factory blued barrel with a bright, shiny bore and strong rifling. Equipped with the original folding rear leaf sight and a brass bead front sight.
