Description:
J. Blanch & Son Boxlock Side by Side, 16 Ga, 28" Barrels

2 1/2" Chambers | 28" Barrels | 44 1/2" Overall Length | Good Condition

J. Blanch & Son Boxlock Side by Side in 16 Ga, a classic lightweight English-made field gun built with 28" barrels, 2 1/2" chambers, and a solid rib. It features a Prince of Wales stock in English Walnut for balanced field handling.

From this particular gun: A beautiful lightweight 16 gauge boxlock made by J. Blanch & Son. The gun is in good condition, with obvious bluing wear on the barrels but otherwise in great nick with no corrosion. Top rib reads "J. Blanch & Son 29 Gracechurch St London". The wood is a gorgeous deep brown with folds of amber-gold. There is a deeper gouge in the left hand side of the stock and other handling marks. The classic scroll engraving is still nice and clear on the receiver. Silver bead sight. Break action working well. LOP 14 3/8", LOP to Wood 14 1/8", DAC 1 3/8", DAH 2 3/8", Cast Neutral, Weight 6 3/10 lbs. Barrels 28", Chambers 2 1/2".
