COLT OFFICIAL POLICE .22LR – 6\" BARREL – 1953 – CLASSIC 6-SHOT REVOLVER
This classic Colt Official Police revolver is chambered in .22LR and dates back to 1953. Originally designed for law enforcement use, this model has become increasingly sought after by collectors and Colt enthusiasts alike — especially in rimfire configuration, which was produced in far smaller quantities than its .38-caliber siblings.
This example features a 6-inch barrel, six-round cylinder, and classic Colt checkered plastic grips with rampant pony medallions. The finish is a smooth blue with honest handling wear and patina consistent with age. Cylinder and timing feel solid on this piece, and it would make an excellent addition to any Colt wheelgun collection or vintage revolver lineup.
Condition is used with cosmetic bluing wear and signs of age, but nothing that takes away from its classic Colt charm. See photos for details.
