Description:
1892 SADDLE RING CARBINE, .32-20, #946XXX, MADE 1925. A fine 100 year old example that shows fine blue on the barrel and magazine with only some light thinning. Exc. Correct late style markings on the barrel and retains the correct carbine ladder rear sight with slide intact. The receiver blue has flaked/aged to mostly gray-brown with good blue in the protected area around the saddle ring, loading gate and the usual more protected areas. Excellent walnut stock and forearm with tight wood to metal fit. Tight action with strong safety half-cock. Exc. Screw heads and excellent sharp bore. These .32-20 carbines are actually very hard to find as most that turn up these days seem to be either .25-20 or .38-40. This is a nice late example from the Roaring Twenties.
