Description:
A strong contender in the market of budget-friendly hunting rifles, the Savage Axis series of rifles has long been a top-selling bolt-action nationwide for years. The simple action, variety of sizes, finishes, and calibers, and its very affordable price point keep hunters of all ages coming back for more each season. The Savage Axis features a tang-mounted two-position safety and dual locking lugs on the bolt. The barrel is free-floating for accuracy and a removable steel magazine keeps loading the rifle easy and user-friendly. This particular rifle is chambered in .30-06 Springfield—an American classic of a caliber, powerful enough to hunt nearly all North American game, even at extended ranges. The 22" barrel and synthetic stock keep this rifle lightweight for long days in the field. The stock is finished in Mossy Oak Break-Up Country camouflage and has user-adjustable stock shims to adjust length-of-pull and a soft rubber buttpad to cushion against recoil. The magazine included with this rifle holds four cartridges of .30-06. Also included with this rifle is a Weaver 3-9x40mm scope mounted in 1" steel Weaver rings atop two-piece scope bases. This Savage Axis does not include the Savage adjustable Accutrigger—a feature reserved for the upgraded Axis II models. This Savage Axis is in very good condition. There is little cosmetic wear throughout the gun and the barrel and internals are in great condition. Action on this rifle is quite smooth, even compared to other Axis rifles. This rifle includes one 4-round OEM magazine, the mounted Weaver scope, and a set of scope lens covers; no box or case is included. .30-06 Springfield
