An Early Desirable U.S. Civil War Military Ames Model 1852 Navy Officers Sword In Excellent & Untouched Condition Throughout. All original and complete. The sword has an excellent plus blade with excellent plus frosting, and markings. It has beautiful etching throughout on the blade as shown. The blade is marked on the ricasso "AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE/MASS". The blade has wonderful etching which includes eagles, stars, anchors, etc. The fancy guard, pommel, & backstrap are all excellent and untouched. They retain all of their original factory gold gilt on them. The original grip and wire are fine and untouched. The original leather scabbard is fine and very untouched. it also retains fine fittings which still have their original gold gilt on them. The top fitting is marked "AMES MFG. CO./CHICOPEE/MASS". The entire sword has an excellent and untouched look to it. This Is An Excellent And Very Desirable Example Of A U.S. Military Civil War "Ames Mfg Co." Model 1852 Navy Officers Sword That Would be a Great Addition To Any Civil War Or Sword Collection!
