Solid and all original rifle in the scarce and fantastic 257 Roberts caliber.
S/N 115903 with matching scribed bolt made in 1949.
Excellent metal condition throughout showing a strong 97% original blue. Wood finish is all there, rating near 95% with numerous light surface marks.
24" barrel with an excellent bore. The inner barrel channel is clean with no glass bedding, routing or any other issues.
Smooth and proper mechanical functions.
Factory installed Lyman 48 WJS receiver sight with all matching inner component numbers. There is a filler blank in rear sight dovetail slot. There has never been a 22g rear sight installed on this rifle as evidenced by lack of any elevator scratch.
This is a hard to find and very impressive performing caliber suitable for any medium game. Very little recoil, so a great choice for some women and younger shooters as well.
