I have a nice old Remington Model 81 "Woodsmaster" Semi-auto rifle for sale in 35 Remington caliber. It has a 4 digit serial number which dates it to 1938 by one source I found but the barrel code is 1937 so maybe it sat in inventory for a few months. It's a Takedown model as shown in a couple of the pictures. I have owned this for over 30 years but haven't shot it much. I took it hunting a few times back when I bought it but then haven't hunted in a rifle state since 1995 so it sits. It has normal wear for a hunting gun of this age but no cracks/gouges/chips in the wood or metal. A few scratches along with bluing wear/fade is all.
Time to let someone else enjoy the rifle.
