32671- CIVIL WAR ERA COLT 1855 ROOT MODEL 3 .28 CAL. REVOLVER MFG. 1860. 3 ½” octagon barrel with “POINTING HAND”, “COLT’S PT./1855”, ADDRESS COL. COLT/HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.” address. All matching and original in very good condition with traces of original blue and balance an even grey metal patina. The original walnut grips with the original finish. Serial number in the 23xxx range mfg. in 1860. Cylinder stamped within a flute “PATENTED SEPT. 10TH, 1850”. Working order and fine bore and chambers. Nice all original example at a reasonable price. $950.
