Description:
Springfield Armory M1 Garand chambered in .30-06 Springfield. This example features a 24" barrel and a blade front sight with protective sides, adjustable Springfield SA Type II lock bar aperture rear sight. The Op Rod is marked "7790722 SA" and the bolt is marked "D28287-2SA RE5A". The trigger group housing is marked "IHC D6528290", a milled "SA" trigger guard "C-46025-1, unmarked safety, "846008-5 SA" hammer. The gas cylinder is a wide base with an unmarked single slot gas cylinder lock screw and flat edge lock. The butt stock is a smooth hardwood pistol grip with no proof on the stock. The forearm is smooth two-piece hardwood. The barrel is stamped "SA 6535448 5-63 Y22 PM". The receiver is stamped "US RIFLE - CAL .30M1 - SPRINGFIELD ARMORY - 3814548". Overall this rifle remains in very good condition for a surplus rifle. No en block clips. .30-06 Springfield
