"Serial No. 2492083, manufactured in September 1944, .30-06, 24" round barrel marked with Winchester proof. Bolt is correctly stamped “D28287-1 W.R.A.", receiver is marked “D28291-2", and the uncut op-rod is marked “D35382 W.R.A." Trigger housing is also W.R.A. marked, consistent with WWII Winchester production. Stock is in very good condition with handsome cartouches visible on the left side. Minor handling marks are present but expected from service use. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A well-configured example of a Winchester-produced Garand during the height of WWII production. Consignment item.
