About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop and will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. Description:
Very Nice pre-64 Winchester Model 70 chambered in 30-06 Springfield, made in 1953. The metal is in excellent condition for a 72 year old rifle. The floorplate and the bolt handle show almost no wear. I cannot verify it, but it appears that this rifle was ordered with the Lyman receiver sight installed. Because this is a Lyman 48 WJS, there has been no wood cut out for it to fit. There is no evidence of it ever having a rear barrel sight. It has a dovetail filler in its place. There is no evidence of ever having a scope mounted. The bore is bright and is in excellent condition. The boltface appears to have almost no wear. The bolt is numbered to the receiver. The wood is in great shape with a few minor scratches. It has the high comb which was optional in 1953. It has an old recoil pad installed that is dry, cracked, and hardened. It would need to be replaced. The lenghth of pull is 13 3/4", slightly longer than the factory specs. Overall, this would make a great, classic hunting rifle, or an excellent start for building a custom rifle. I think that the price is right on this one!

SAFETY WARNING- Buyer is solely responsible for determining that a used gun is safe to shoot. The firearms offered may or may not have been test fired, and some have been only visually inspected. It is a requirement that every used firearm is inspected by a qualified gunsmith before firing. The buyer agrees to hold seller harmless against damages, injury, or death caused by defective merchandise.
RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges both ways. Please ask questions.
Return Policy Guidelines of GunsInternational Unless the buyer and seller agree to modify, as may be the case in a new gun, layaway, international sales and for used guns and accessories it must be clearly marked in the listing as No Return, the return policy is three (3) calendar days from the day the item(s) are received by the buyer or delivered to the FFL acting for the buyer. The item may be returned for any reason, but the buyer must notify the seller within the three (3) calendar day inspection period. The buyer must start the return within the next four (4) calendar days to receive a complete refund, less all shipping, transaction fees and FFL charges. On a return the buyer must not remove the firearm from the FFL premises without approval of the seller. Once the firearm has been received by the seller and inspected a prompt refund will be issued. Shipping must start within one week of receipt of the item(s). The return shipping must be of equal shipping level, including insurance i.e... Priority, Express, Blue Label etc. The return item MUST be in the same condition as when shipped to the buyer. This is an inspection period only, a gun is not to be fired or disassembled. Sellers written permission is required to allow the buyer to take down a takedown model during the inspection period. Upon the receipt and inspection of the returned gun, the seller agrees to issue a prompt refund. Recommendation: Confirm purchase with all details via the Contact Seller form within the listing and print out the listing for your records. Industry standard is that if a buyer fails to perform on a layaway that any monies deposited are forfeited. GunsInternational recommends all layaways are agreed in writing. Any modification of the 3 day return policy must be in writing by both buyer and seller.
