Polytech AKS-762 "Galil" Side Folder chambered in 7.62x39. This is a rare and distinctive variant of the Chinese-manufactured AKM-47-style rifle that was imported in the 1980's. Manufactured by Poly Technologies, this model features a Galil-style side-folding stock, which is approximately 1 inch longer than the standard under folding stocks, providing enhanced ergonomics for users with longer arms. Imported to the United States primarily in the 1980s before import bans were enacted. These rifles are known for their exceptional build quality, often rivaling or surpassing many other imported AK variants. Standard AK-style adjustable rear sight to 800 meters and a protected front hooded post. Other features include a Chrome-lined 16.3" barrel, Bayonet lug, cleaning rod and threaded barrel with original muzzle nut! Blued steel really sets these apart from all other AK Rifles. A beautiful set of blonde wood furniture rounds out this really nice example. Included is one 30 round magazine and original sling.
The Polytech AKS-762 Galil Side Folder is highly sought after by collectors due to its rarity and unique features. It is estimated that fewer than 500 units were imported into the U.S.
