Description: Combining historic trench gun vibes with modern firearms design and construction, the Mossberg 590 Retrograde is a throwback-styled version of Mossberg's iconic tactical pump-action scattergun. The 590 has been a popular choice for law enforcement and military units around the world for its reliability and durable construction—and its relative affordability certainly helps as well! The overbuilt Model 590A1 also was made to meet U.S. Navy requirements, having to be able to withstand the rigors and intensive environments of steel battleships and constant exposure to salt water. The Retrograde series exchanges the black synthetic shotgun furniture for satin walnut parts and the matte black metal parts somewhat resemble darker parkerized finishes used on many military pieces. The stock has checkering on the pistol grip and a vented rubber buttpad attached. In addition to the wood furniture, the shotgun wears a steel perforated heat shield over the barrel to enable a high support hand grip on the shotgun and a classic bayonet lug on the barrel ring. The 590 Retrograde has a 20 ½" barrel with a 3" chamber in 12 gauge and a fixed cylinder choke—a good choice for all-purpose use, including defensive slugs and buckshot. The barrel is topped with a single brass front bead, and the receiver is also drilled & tapped to receive optic mounts readily. The tube magazine holds up to 8 shells and one in the chamber for a grand total of 9 shells on tap. This shotgun is in lightly-used condition. The furniture exhibits some light usage and handling wear and the slide arms have visible wear. However, the barrel is in good shape and everything operates properly and with satisfying action. This shotgun does not include a box or case. 12 Gauge SOLD Chambers: 3 Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Good Bore Condition: Very good Barrels: 20 1/2 Stock Dimensions: 14" LOP Fore End: Satin walnut corncob Butt Pad: Vented rubber buttpad Weight: 6 lbs 12 oz Sights: Single brass front bead; drilled & tapped receiver Chokes: Fixed cylinder choke Item Location: Kearney, NE |
