This this 1947 Model 71 Deluxe could not really be much nicer. a few modest handling marks and some marks under side of the butt stock where it may have been in a rack otherwise not far from new. These are our favorite lever guns and we moslty only buy the beautiful deluxe models. This one is just as it left the old New Haven Ct Factory 50 mins from our door 77 yrs ago. It has the original Super Grade sling swivels and factory (option) 48A Bolt Peep (these bolt peeps are now found for sale for amounts up to 600.00 !!!!) It still has the front site hood. IF YOU'VE BEEN HOLDING OUT FOR A REALLY SPECIAL 71 DELUXE THIS MIGHT BE YOU'RE GUN!
Produced from 1935 approx to 1958 and belived to be the strongest lever guns ever commercially produced. Before there were many quality high powered bolt guns avail these were the guns of choice for early Alaska Bear Guide and its a fari guess many found there way to Africa .
