"Serial No. 521116, manufactured in 1917 by Remington Arms under Tsarist Russian contract. Chambered in 7.62x54R with a 31½" round barrel. This American-made Mosin-Nagant features matching serial numbers, with a numeral overstrike on the receiver—a known production quirk. Metal finish is thinning with light mottled oxidation. The stock remains very good, showing light field wear and a crisp U.S. Ordnance cartouche, indicating post-revolution retention by the U.S. government. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A scarce piece of WWI-era international arms history.
