The stocks are made of Original Select Wood ( Deluxe) . Gun is properly marked with no serial number . Gun is in excellent original condition and Period correct ! Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition. Gun is in excellent working condition. One of the Finest Special Ordered H. Aston Model 1842 ! I purchased this pistol recently and did some research after I purchased it . I only could find one Comp that Sold at RIA on April 20, 2012 that gun was a Similar Presentation Grade gun and it sold for 11,500.00 . And I also found my gun that Sold in 2024 for 995.00 it sold on line by a company Firearmland they advertised it as a Replica . As you can see in my photos it is not a Replica but without any doubt a original piece ! We believe it was done by Tiffany's in N.Y.C. In the 1800's . I am guaranteeing this gun as a original period presentation grade H. Aston Model 1842 ! Definitely not a Replica ! I have inserted a photo of the gun that sold at RIA .
