Our research shows that this Marlin 336 was manufactured in 1978. Chambered in .30-30 Winchester, it has a 20-inch, "JM" stamped barrel. Features on this rifle include an professionally installed aftermarket buttpad, sling mount in the buttstock, and factory drilled and tapped for scopes.
We find this rifle to be in nice condition overall. The rifling is strong. The walnut stock is in nice condition with no chips, scratches or gouges. The 336's barrel's bluing is in very good condition with very minimal handling marks. The left side of the receiver has a scuff mark located near the hammer.
