Description:
With its tactical pseudo-AR styling, the Rock Island Armory TM22 Lite rifle is a great option for shooting range plinking sessions while utilizing a more affordable caliber compared to other standard AR-15 calibers. The TM22 Lite is largely made up of a polymer housing built around an aluminum alloy skeleton and critical components. The rifle features an 18" threaded barrel and feeds from proprietary magazines, including two 10-round magazines with this rifle. The sights are similar to fixed AR-style sights, with an adjustable front sight post and adjustable detachable carry handle rear sight on top of a picatinny scope rail. The TM22 Lite utilizes a side-charging handle instead of a typical rear-located charging handle from the AR platform and has a more simple two-position safety lever higher on the reciever than the AR-15. The rifle has a rubberized pistol grip and a collapsible buttstock with rubber buttpad and adjustable comb, making it a very comfortable fit for shooters of all sizes. This rifle is in good condition and appears to have not seen much use, though there are marks on the plastic outer housing which appear to be from dry lubricants. The barrel is in good condition and the chamber dirty from rimfire ammunition, but in overall good condition. This rifle makes an excellent tactical-looking plinker and trainer, or even a good first .22 for younger shooters.
