Description:
Heavy post war 300 meter Hammerli Martini rifle in 7.5x55, retailed by W. Glaser of Zurich. This classic Swiss sporting firearms was presented to Karl Helbig by his fellow club members at one point, the first owner had a gold or gilt monogram (PK) cartouche inserted in to the pistol grip. 30.7" heavy octagonal barrel with front sight apparatus. Chromium plated trigger guard, lever and double set trigger. Fast adjustable butt hook, elaborate and fully adjustable diopter rear sight, extra socket on the left receiver side. Crisp action, mirror bright bore, Bern pressure proof mark on barrel top. Very attractive dark walnut thumbhole stock with thumb rest. Wide target style forend with fine chequering and threaded plate for hand rest. OAL=52.7", LOP=12.8", weight=15 lbs. Retailers name and address on left receiver side, post 1947 Hammerli trade mark on barrel top. Excellent blue metal finish, wood with only few handling and storage marks.
