"Serial No. 15393g, manufactured in 1943 by Mauser-Werke Oberndorf under the code BYF 43, 8mm Mauser, 24" round barrel. Serial numbers are matching throughout. Metal finish has faded to a dull grey patina, while factory markings and Waffenamt inspection stamps on the receiver and barrel remain sharp and legible. Stock is very good, showing light handling marks and a visible Waffenamt stamp. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A solid and honest example of a wartime BYF 43 K98, produced during the height of German wartime manufacture and retaining strong original character.
