This is a Colt M1911 A1 in fair condition. Most of the finish is off by now and is really worn all around. Has a small crack on the left side grip panel. Also on left side we have a G.H.D below the slide release and above the magazine release; and then a single letter P next to the magazine release proofmarking the gun. Then on the trigger guard it says 45 ACP and under that a line that faintly reads CAL ST ALB. VT. This means this particular 1911 was imported back to the US at some point by Century Arms. On the right side we have a Springfield crossed cannons mark showing this was accepted by the U.S. military. Says United States Property and M1911A1 followed by U.S. Army. Running the serial number on this gun it was made in 1944. Comes with a holster marked US with a tank and crossed swords behind it. On the back of the holster it is simply marked SEARS 1942.
