Description:
Originally known as the K-38 (K-frame, .38-caliber) "Combat Masterpiece" when it was introduced in 1949, the Model 15 got its designation updated when S&W went to their model numbering system in 1957. This listing is for a beautiful, clean Model 15-2 built in 1965 that has seen very little use. It is a square butt K-frame .38 Special with checkered walnut Magna-style diamond-pattern grip panels with gold S&W medallions. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and elevation and the front sight is a fixed ramp with a grooved rib along the top of the frame and barrel. The blued finish is in unusually good shape for a gun of this age. There is little to no holster wear and any drag line that might be on the cylinder is barely perceptible. The action is smooth and it locks up nice and tight, like a vintage Smith & Wesson revolver should. No box or case is included with this revolver. .38 Special + P
