"Serial No. B14206, manufactured in 1941, .303 British, 25" round import-marked barrel. Serial numbers are matching, with the magazine force-matched. Receiver is marked “R.O.F. M." (Royal Ordnance Factory, Maltby). Rifle remains in very good overall condition, with the stock showing light handling marks and areas of preserved cosmoline from storage. Many of these rifles were imported from Ireland during the 1980s, where they had been held in reserve. Action is smooth and functions correctly. A fine example of an early-production No.4 Mk I Enfield, manufactured in 1941 as part of the urgent rearmament program to replace equipment lost during the Dunkirk evacuation.
