Description:
1971 Browning BSS boxlock side-by-side manufactured in Japan. This 12 gauge shotgun has a 28" barrel with a bead front sight on a wavy checkered solid rib and 2 3/4" chambers. The barrels are fixed choked full/improved modified with ejectors. This also has an auto safety. The receiver is floral scroll engraved with decorative borders and gold filled. The trigger guard and break lever are also scroll engraved with gold fill. The stocks are two-piece checkered wood with beavertail forend, pistol grip, straight comb, and a plastic Browning buttplate. Stock measurements (DC - 1 5/8", DH - 2 5/8") with a neutral cast. Metal Condition: About 99% blued finish remaining. Light contact wear on the barrels from the hand guard.
Wood Condition: Overall the stock set rates about 95% with scattered drag lines and compression marks that are mostly light.
